As an accredited public community college, Mercer County Community College offers a few different options for students interested in taking classes. It’s possible to pursue various paths of study. The college offers a number of non-degree options for lifelong learners as well as special English as a Second Language programs.Degree-seeking students have the option of either A.A., A.F.A.,and A.S. degrees, which transfer to four-year educational institutions, or career programs, which result in A.A.S. degrees and skills that prepare students to enter the workforce.

Students attending Mercer County Community College have a number of different options when it comes to courses of study. There are a number of different campuses, including the James Kerney Campus in downtown Trenton and the school’s main campus, the West Windsor Campus. Courses occur on weekends and evenings, in addition to during regular day-time hours, and enrollment is flexible enough to be full-time or a single class at a time.

In addition to a physical classroom, Mercer Country Community College also encourages use of new technology through The Virtual College, an online resource for interactive online classes through the various departments.

Financial Aid

Many of the students attending Mercer County Community College receive some form of need-based financial aid, and a number of the school’s academic-based scholarships allow for even more assistance. Students

While students commute to Mercer County Community College, there is a vibrant and bustling on-campus life and networks for students to become acquainted with one another through common interests. A number of different student-run clubs exist on campus, with an annual club fair at the beginning of the year for new students to get acquainted and get involved on campus. Clubs range from the academic to the esoteric. The acclaimed dance and theater program on campus has lead to a number of clubs based in the performing arts, with a particular emphasis on different styles of dance.

Students at MCCC come from a variety of backgrounds, and are both from New Jersey and out of state. Many of them are older, but just as many students are regular college-age. With two campuses to choose from and a number of new buildings, it’s no wonder that the college continues to grow and attract students from all over the community.

The Theatre Program at Mercer County Community College is of special note when it comes to on-campus events and the chance for off-campus fame. With a number of different faculty members from esteemed backgrounds on the stage and in the classroom, a school production at MCCC is usually of a high caliber. The Drama Club also hosts a twice-monthly open mic series on campus, known as Late Night Series.

The Green and Gold Mercer Vikings are a big hit on campus.

MCCC offers a number of different options for athletic students, with the school’s teams excelling season after season in the world of intercollegiate two-year college athletics. Athletes can even finance their college years with some of the school’s athletic scholarships, with more information available from the Financial Aid Office.

Mercer’s men’s soccer team has won eight national championships, and the women’s tennis team has won four national championships. Men’s basketball is picking up steam, with two different national championship victories.
